How to measure for blinds and Roller Shades
Roller blinds and Roller Shades are a great choice if you are after a window covering that has simple lines. This is because they fit very closely to the window and do not have a lot of excess fabric. Roller blinds can also be made with a huge range of fabrics including translucent fabrics, sunscreen fabrics, and block out fabrics. Of course, the fabrics are available in a range of colors and patterns so you can choose the one that suits your home the best. But do you know how many ways to measure for blinds and Roller Shades?
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO MEASURE FOR BLINDS AND ROLLER SHADES
If the installation will be inside the opening you must consider that you need at least 7 cm depth for our TopLine Line, 5 cm. for our BitLine line and 8 cm for roller blinds with built-in border.
How to measure for blinds and Roller Shades Outside the Vain?
We need to measure the width and height of the window frame and add 7.5 cm and 7.5 cm for the blinds to fit correctly (fig. 3 and 4)
If it is BlackOut blinds, we suggest adding 10 cms per side in the width to avoid the entrance of light.
Inside the compartment
We need to measure the width and height between walls and subtract 1 cm from the width so that the blinds fits correctly. (fig. 1 and 2)
Please note: the quoted size (final size) includes the supports.
You should consider in this option that on the sides of the window there will be a small space of 1.3 cm that will not be covered by the fabric of your curtain, this is due to the width of the supports where your blinds will be installed.
