As blinds on the balcony, this is the traditional and most common option. It has been known for a long time and does not lose its popularity. Blinds consist of many horizontal slats that can be adjusted at an angle of inclination. Thus, the window on the glazed balcony or loggia can be completely closed, blocking the access of light, or you can adjust the intensity of its flow as needed. Lamellas can be plastic, metal or wooden. For glazed balconies and metal-plastic windows, it is best to choose light but durable aluminum slats. Blinds are easily controlled with a cord; the whole structure is easy to install.

Roller blinds

Roll structures are distinguished by the fact that the canvas here is solid. The curtain can either be lowered completely by closing the glass or raised to the desired height. The intensity of the light flux can be adjusted using the density of the web material itself. It can be completely opaque, with a reflective exterior – ideal for south-facing balconies and full sun protection. The canvas can be translucent, transmitting from 40% to 60% of the light, or transparent, decorative. A good option for blinds on the balcony is the “day-night” canvas: it is double and consists of dense and transparent strips that can be placed in such a way as to completely protect from the sun or allow light to enter.

What color choose for blinds on the balcony?

As for colors, it all depends on your preferences and imagination. Depending on which room the glazed balcony is in, you can choose the color. Dark blinds that protect from light are suitable for a bedroom and a nursery, for a rest room. Light translucent or transparent will look good in the living room, kitchen, and dining room. Blinds on the balcony with your own hands: how to do it?

Blinds on the balcony with glazing can be done with your own hands. Here is one of the easiest options in which they can be made from paper wallpaper.

Pleated blinds from wallpaper:

1. Cut wallpaper equal to the width of the window and add 30 cm along the height of the window.

2. Fold the canvas and bend the paper well (you can use a ruler for uniform folding).

3. To assemble, mark a point in the middle, then use an awl to punch a through hole the entire length of the canvas.

4. You can make two holes on both sides of the canvas, set back 3-4 cm from the side.

5. Pull a string or string through the hole, put a clip lock on one end and tie a knot.

6. On the other end of the curtain, glue a strip of cardboard to the sheet.

You can hang curtains on the windows with double-sided tape, which is glued to this piece of cardboard and the window frame or tie the free end of the rope to the eaves.
