You must know blinds, and maybe you can distinguish some blinds, California blinds, Roman blinds, roller blinds… But have you heard of day-night roller blinds? If so, congratulations, because this concept is still new in the curtain market. If you haven’t heard of it, feel free to follow the UNITEC blog!
Day-Night Roller Blind, what is it?
Blinds of this type are the most modular of all and can change the light by adjusting them from a simple blackout position (where the outside view remains the same) to a darkened position, creating darkness in the room ambience. Its name pretty much sums up what it does: day-night roller blinds meet different needs at different times of the day, accompanying you from day to night.
It replaces curtains during the day-night roller blinds or drapes at night. There are intermediate settings for optimal customization. It is a 2-in-1 day and night product based on the intelligent alternating band system!
How does this work?
The secret of the day-night roller blind is that its fabric has alternating hollow horizontal bands (translucent, providing the same shielding effect as a veil) and opaque bands (to completely cut off sight and light). The assembly of the canvas is said to be “double winding”.
It works by activating the rope, playing on two layers of canvas, close in thickness due to double winding, overlapping, or moving the translucent and opaque bands for good effect.
(1).If the perforated strips are aligned on both sides of the awning fabric, just dim the light to soften it, but preserve the entire view.
(2). If the opaque strips line up on the sides of the awning fabric, the room will plunge into darkness
(3). If we alternated cutouts and opacity bands during the day, we get semi-darkness, which reduces brightness and blurs the view relative to the outside.
How is it installed?
Blinds are installed on interior, sash, floor-to-ceiling or bay windows. Some simple kits require no drilling and can be installed in under five minutes, thanks to clip-on and adjustable fasteners. This is a plus for tenants who don’t want to drill holes, who don’t have gear or who aren’t good at DIY! Installing the day-night roller blind is quick and easy: just screw on the two fixing brackets on the upper part of the blind.
What about aesthetics?
Day-night roller blinds have a popular aesthetic appearance, mainly in PVC or polyester fabrics in basic colors such as white or black. Or coordinate over-color with translucent and opaque strips for an even look.
